- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★Before I start this post for the Queensland Maritime Museum I must point out that I am a volunteer here at the Museum. I have volunteered at the museum for the last 10 years after I retired from the Department of Education Brisbane. It is such a great place to visit with your family and the kids will love our warship the Diamantina. They can check out and operate the 4 inch guns, go down into the engine room and see the Captain's cabin. There are many other displays to visit.
